Maureen Reynolds, M.A., LMHCMaureen Reynolds, M.A., LMHC

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with 15 years of experience working in the mental health field in residential, community, private, and traditional therapeutic settings. I received my Master’s degree from Lesley University.

I have extensive experience working with children, adolescents, and young adults. I also work with adults, couples and families. My specialties include treating individuals and families dealing with foster care and adoption issues, relationship issues, child and adolescent behavioral issues, those affected by trauma and loss including separation and divorce, those affected by sexual abuse, and clients with anger management issues.

I believe it is important to work together to reach your goals, and that empathy and trust are keys to that success. My focus is always to build a strong relationship where we can problem solve together to address your needs. Though my approach may vary depending on the specific objectives of my client, my main treatment technique is to combine a cognitive behavioral and problem solving model with a psychodynamic method.

I frequently use play therapy with my younger clients to build a comfortable and productive environment. I believe that family sessions are vital to long-term success for children and teens, though the frequency of the family sessions will vary depending on the needs of the particular child, parent(s), or other family members involved. My schedule at Wilmington Family Counseling includes all day Sunday and Monday evenings.
